What is Membership?

Membership is your approved Black Lungs account and identity relationship. Apple or Google proves your identity; signing in does not mean Membership is approved, Cabot participation is confirmed, or a leg is assigned.

Pending: your Membership request is awaiting review. Approved: Membership is active. My Black Lungs is your personal home and shows your current next action.

What is the September roster call?

The roster call is not open yet. Eligible members with active Cabot access can record their September expression of interest in Cabot 2027 when the call is open.

September interest ≠ confirmed participation. Membership approval, Cabot access, and app eligibility are separate from participant confirmation.

What happens next?

November: participant confirmation. January: leg assignments.

Where is my history?

Your runs appear in My Black Lungs after we link your results to your account. Signing in or Membership approval does not add them automatically. You can still explore the team’s history.

Which season am I seeing?

My Black Lungs opens on the current season, even before it has results. Choose a past season to see its team finish and leg times. A link from one of your runs opens that run’s season.

What do the numbers mean?

Overall placing is within the same leg and year. Black Lungs all-time compares times on that leg across the team’s seasons. Equal times can share a place.

Pace uses the standard distance for the leg; it does not adjust for route changes or conditions. Use the season’s Race results link to check the source. Incomplete results can limit the comparisons.

Cabot photos are for members only. The 2026 collection links back to the season you came from.

Something missing or incorrect?

Tell us the year, leg and name shown in the results. We check which results belong to you before linking them to your account.

Ask us to check your history

Do I need the app?

No. You can request Membership, respond when the roster call opens, explore Course, and use the supported website without the app.

When and why should I install it?

Mission Control is the team’s race-weekend companion, bringing Course and team context together. My Black Lungs keeps your membership and history close; optional Preparation remains private.

Eligible iPhone members: install it when your personal invitation arrives. Follow that invitation to install through TestFlight, then sign in with the same linked Apple or Google identity you use on the website.
